Currently a 4th-year medical student in Mandeville, Louisiana, Lacee has truly epitomized what it means to balance ambition, passion, and a high-performance lifestyle. The Kickstart
When Lacee moved to Louisiana, she was immediately drawn to the energy and motivation that comes with being a part of the EMOM Co. community. After a rigorous workout with Brandon, one of our coaches, Lacee knew she had found her fitness family.
Setting Goals and Smashing Them
Initially, Lacee aimed to improve her gymnastics and conditioning capacity. Taking a research year during her medical studies, she devoted her extra time to fitness. "I truthfully have achieved things this past year that I never would have imagined," she shares, mentioning her qualification for semifinals with her team, a feat she had never even dreamt of.
The EMOM Co. Impact
With her busy schedule, Lacee appreciates the flexibility EMOM Co.'s programming offers. "EMOM co has made it much easier to fit in fitness on my busy days," she notes. Her favorites? The 30- and 40-minute EMOMs that allow her to push her limits even when she’s pressed for time.
Overcoming Challenges
Lacee candidly shares her experience with imposter syndrome, particularly during competitions. She's learned to "trust her fitness," a mantra that resonates within the EMOM Co. community.
Memorable Moments
Qualifying for semifinals was a milestone, but the real highlight came during the competition's 2nd workout with thrusters and muscle-ups. Lacee recalls how she moved from struggling with muscle-ups last winter to achieving her best finish of the weekend in that very workout.
Balancing Act
"Showing up for myself every day is what will get me to my goals," Lacee states. She understands the importance of finding a balance between work, fitness, and personal life. Her tip? "Be present in the moment."
