What is an EMOM?

EMOM stands for "Every Minute On the Minute," and it's a type of interval training that alternates work periods with rest.

The workout is structured so that you perform a specific exercise at the start of each minute and then rest for the remainder of the minute. This type of training is excellent for building strength and endurance and burning fat.

EMOM workouts typically last for a set number of minutes, such as 20 or 30 minutes.

You'll perform a set number of reps of a specific exercise at the start of each minute. For example, if you're doing a 20-minute EMOM workout and performing 10 reps of a specific exercise, you'll do 10 reps of that exercise at the start of the first minute, then rest for the remainder of that minute. You'll then do another 10 reps at the start of the second minute, and so on, until the 20-minute workout is complete.

One of the benefits of EMOM workouts is that they can be adapted to suit your fitness level and goals.

For example, if you're a beginner, you might start with a shorter workout, such as a 10-minute EMOM, and perform fewer reps of each exercise. As you become fitter, you can increase the duration of the workout and the number of reps you perform.

Another benefit of EMOM workouts is that they're highly efficient.

Because you're working at a high intensity for a short period of time, followed by a rest period, you're able to get a lot of work done in a relatively short amount of time. This makes EMOM workouts a great option for people who are short on time but still want to get a good workout in.

It's important to note that EMOM workouts are not easy, and they are intense and require a high level of focus and discipline, especially when performing the reps under time pressure.

But with consistency and proper form, you can see significant improvements in your strength and endurance over time.

Overall, EMOM workouts are excellent for people looking to build strength, endurance, and burn fat. They're highly efficient and can be adapted to suit your fitness level and goals.
